Recent SAGE Symposium

Apis Partner, Dr Nigel Nutt, recently presented at the Science in Australia Gender Equity (SAGE) Annual Symposium on a panel discussing Value in Equality: Innovation, Productivity, Success. The SAGE program aims to improve gender equity in Science Technology, Engineering, Maths, and Medicine (STEMM) in the Australian higher education and research sector.

Nigel was joined by panel representatives sharing their experiences of tackling gender equality issues in a range of industries. With #SAGE17 trending at number one on twitter during the session, the close to 300 attendees gained valuable insights from the symposium presentations.

Nigel candidly shared his experiences of both the challenges faced in attracting, retaining and promoting women in the professional services field and how professional services firms can respond to these challenges in an evolving market.

Apis was a proud sponsor of the Symposium, including the SAGE Members National Networking Breakfast. The breakfast provided members the opportunity to discuss a range of topics around attraction, retention and promotion of women in STEMM.
