Nidal has been part of the Apis team since 2010, and is a senior consultant with strong experience in complex government procurement and contracting, as well as programme, project and risk management.
Working with the Department of Social Services, Nidal managed the end-to-end procurement process for a national Regional Assessment Service (RAS) for the Aged Care Gateway (ACG) Programme. This led to the establishment of contracts with 13 providers at a value of $210 million, to deliver home support assessment services nationally. In this role Nidal managed a team delivering the logistics of the procurement, delivered approach to market documents and evaluation training, and managed schedule and risk to deliver executed contracts ahead of schedule. This included the engagement of senior Departmental stakeholders to resolve issues and progress key project decisions.
Also working within the Department of Social Services and Department of Health and Ageing, Nidal helped deliver the procurement and contract management of a number of national implementation partners for the eHealth record and Aged Care Gateway Programmes. This involved the management of approach-to-market processes, the development of market and evaluation documents, and evaluation planning and facilitation. Nidal’s involvement in the PCEHR and ACG Programs also extended to the management of contracts with change and benefits providers, twelve eHealth pilot sites and a national contact centre provider.
In his role as the project manager for the National Carer Gateway Project, Nidal helped lead the delivery of stage one of the Carer Gateway in December 2015. This involved the establishment of a national contact centre and website for carers to access information and support. Nidal’s role included project planning and reporting, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, and change control.
