Peter is an experienced management consultant and team leader. Peter’s primary skills are pragmatic strategic and tactical thinking, critical reasoning and decisive problem solving.
Throughout Peter’s experience in consulting, public administration and engineering he has developed expertise in business and government strategy; business improvement and transformation; program and project management; and team management and stakeholder engagement. Further, Peter’s core abilities include financial modelling and managing organisational change.
Peter’s experience has been gained across numerous Government Departments including the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Finance, National Disability Insurance Agency, Department of Human Services, Department of Education and Training, National Health and Medical Research Council, Clean Energy Regulator, Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Department of Health.
Peter’s experience is further deepened across a wide variety of international and cross-disciplinary engagements for other high profile clients including Alcoa, BlueScope Steel, OneSteel, the United States Department of State and Xstrata.
Underpinning Peter’s skills and experience is his analytical, business and managerial acumen gained through completing a Master of Business Administration (specialising in Finance) and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical). For these studies Peter attained a Distinction grade average and First Class Honours respectively.
Peter has also attained the following professional qualifications complementing his tertiary education: Diploma of Project Management; Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting); Managing Successful Programs (MSP) Foundation and Practitioner; Certified ScrumMaster; and Lean Six-Sigma Yellow Belt.
His critical thinking and commercially focussed mind-set allows him to logically diagnose problems, rapidly formulate responses and determine how best to implement solutions for complex issues across multiple business contexts. Moreover, Peter enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders and managing and working with people to achieve strategic outcomes.
