    ABOUT

Simone is a dynamic Project Manager and Business Analyst with over 8 years’ experience in project management, Business Case development, business process improvement, contract management, procurement and strategic analysis. She has extensive knowledge of design, user centred design, agile project management and service design methodologies. Simone has an excellent understanding of complex business, operational and administrative environments, having worked with large public and private sector clients including the Department of Employment, Department of Broadband, Department of Education, Communications and the Digital Economy, Healthdirect Australia and the Queensland Police Service.

A lateral thinker with comprehensive problem solving skills and excellent leadership capabilities, Simone is quick to learn and understand complex policies or models and explain them clearly to others. She has a strong grasp on financial impact and budget management, having previously worked as a Business Services Account and gained a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting. Her academic achievements also include a Graduate Certificate of Communication and she is currently studying a Master of Business Administration, which focuses on Design Thinking.

At the Department of Employment, Simone was engaged as a Project Manager as part of the Business Improvement team. Leading a project team of 8, Simone worked closely with internal policy teams and external consultants, utilising design thinking techniques to improve government policies. Her key responsibilities included planning and execution of user research activities with end users, and planning and facilitating workshops.

As a Business Analyst for Healthdirect Australia, Simone undertook service design activities for the expansion of existing services, including developing concept diagrams and gathering requirements for key projects. She worked closely with the online team to develop the detailed requirements for online services, including new online tools and content. Working in an agile environment, Simone worked as part of a Scrum team to define personas, facilitate workshops, define user stories and acceptance criteria.  Working alongside the UX Designer, she developed scripts for user testing, and then analysed and prioritised findings from testing in the product backlog.

Also with Healthdirect Australia, Simone undertook project management, Business Case development and business process improvement. Simone managed a $1 million project, which increased information that was available to consumers about a particular health topic, across all streams of the business.

Prior to this, Simone provided procurement and contract management services at the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, for the rollout of the Household Assistance Scheme, as part of digital switchover.
