    ABOUT

    Virginia is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant with over 19 years’ experience. She has extensive experience in Federal Government budget costing processes and financial management, service delivery design and implementation, program and project management, and change and transition management.  Virginia has extensive Federal Government experience including at the Department of Human Services, Department of Social Services, Department of Immigration and Border Protection, Clean Energy Regulator, and the Department of the Environment.

    Virginia has a proven track record with design and implementation of change management strategies and supporting activities. She is adept at program and project management delivery within large reform programs of work gained across many public sector departments. Virginia is a Certified Practicing Accountant with a strong grounding in Commonwealth budget costing processes and financial management and is also a certified PROSCI change manager, and a certified MSP practitioner.

    At the Department of Social Services, Virginia is currently engaged on the Carer Reform Program. Virginia is leading the Transition Project which is responsible for the successful transition of the Carer sector, the Department and Carers themselves to a proposed new service delivery model.

    At the Department Immigration and Border Protection, Virginia led the Apis team responsible for the establishment of program management services on a large and complex reform program. Virginia was responsible for the establishment and management of program structures, governance and program controls as well as the ongoing reporting of program progress and status. She worked successfully with a range of stakeholders including Senior Executives, and had a strong focus on the mentoring and coaching of client personnel to provide guidance and knowledge transfer.

    At the Department of Human Services (DHS), Virginia undertook a lead program management role within CIO Group in the eGovernment and Digital Service Program Office, as well as a lead role in the establishment of a Divisional Portfolio Management Office within the CIO Group. Virginia brings extensive knowledge and understanding of the Human Services Department, in particular Medicare, through her successful public service career prior to joining Apis.

    At the Clean Energy Regulator Virginia provided change management services on the Emissions Reduction Fund Project. Virginia led and built staff capability in the assessment of change impacts, development of plans including change, communications and training, undertook business readiness assessments and developed a people transition plan for the project team. During this time, Virginia also provided consultancy services to the Emissions Reduction team at the Department of Environment.
